    The team will be funded with an allocation of $1,000,000 in stable tokens and 10M $DIMO (1% of the total supply) to support operations.

    The team's mandates include accelerating development and innovation, enhancing project security, and growing the contributor base through grants and bounties.

  • Who are the team members of the Ignite grants team?

    The team members were chosen for their expertise in web3 ecosystem development, connected vehicle technology, and enthusiasm for the DIMO community. The team includes Mike Kriak, Rob Solomon, Yev Khessin, Bryan Peters, Sam Lewis, MoreReese, and Avi Atkin.

  • What is the operating structure of the Ignite team?

    The 8-member team, led by Sam Lewis as the steward, will execute mandates for the community. They will establish norms, cadence, self-governance procedures, and handle onboarding/offboarding and compensation distribution.

  • What is the application process for grants?

    The application process consists of three stages: Quick Pitch, Full Proposal, and Accepted. Applicants first fill out a quick pitch application, followed by a full proposal if their concept meets the guiding criteria. Once accepted, the grants team works with the grantee to set exit criteria, provide feedback, and set them up for success.

  • How will the Ignite team communicate and provide outreach?

    The team will promote the program through various channels, provide the DIMO community with ongoing monthly transparency reports, and be responsible for creating, maintaining, and distributing grant program marketing materials.

    The team will ensure grantees receive adequate support and compensation corresponding to the scope and complexity of their projects. They will also deploy a balanced portfolio over a reasonable time horizon, following good treasury management practices.

  • What are the specific priorities for the next 6 months?

    The team will focus on funding projects in five categories: Infrastructure, Security, Hardware, Ecosystem Growth, and Community.

  • How will the team manage intellectual property and represent the DIMO brand?

    The operating team may utilize IP, trademarks, web domains, and more. They will also work with the DIMO Foundation and other relevant teams for limited use of social distribution channels.

  • What are the commitments and key risks associated with the Ignite grants team?

    The team is committed to acting honorably and transparently, avoiding conflicts of interest, and providing regular updates. Key risks include the team's effectiveness in identifying high-quality projects and potential issues with grantee qualifications or projects lacking significant ecosystem impact.

  • How will the Ignite team implement their goals if the proposal is passed?

    If passed, the team will immediately begin working towards their mandates, establishing proper back office infrastructure and processes. The initial token allocation of 10M $DIMO and $1,000,000 in stable tokens will be allocated via the DIMO Foundation.
